Bayer develops video game for hemophilia awareness
Bayer Health Care has created a soccer video game, Kid K Keepie Uppies, with the goal of showing kids with hemophilia (haemophilia outside the U.S.) all the great things they can do in life. Hemophilia is a genetic disease, more commonly found in males, that prevents the body from properly controlling blood clots, thus resulting in excess bleeding. Bayer’s mission was to develop a game that would offer kids a more encouraging outlook, with the help of the game’s star Kid K.
“For every app purchased, 100% of profits will go to the Haemophilia Society,” noted Tom Cleminson, Brand Manager at Bayer HealthCare. “The game is not just confined to people with haemophilia who regularly log onto our website, it’s available to everyone…”
Kid K Keepie Uppies will release on April 17th as an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad app.
